Orphans
WHO ARE WE?
Mutlu Yuva Association was established in 2010 to meet all kinds of material and spiritual needs of orphans and children in need of protection in a loving home. It carries out its activities within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services. As of 2021, it continues to serve around 700 children in 124 children’s homes in 6 provinces with independent administrations, namely Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Yozgat, Şanlıurfa and Diyarbakır. More than 1000 children have been served through these efforts to date. Our Happy Home Associations in 6 provinces have been gathered under the umbrella of the “Children and Youth Federation”. The president of our Federation and the chairman of Istanbul Mutlu Yuva Association, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer GÜLYURT.
5-6 children live in each children’s homes under the supervision of 3 caregivers. The main purpose is to keep crowded groups away from the orphanage where they live and to live in homes in the warmth of family where they can be included in social life.
Rentals, furnishings, renovations, repairs and all logistics costs of our children’s homes are fully covered by our association.
Three Education and Development centers were opened for the benefit of children staying in children’s homes. In these centers, we employ over 20 teachers and educators working in 17 different fields in order to increase the academic success of our children, to develop their talents and skills, and to raise them as individuals with national and spiritual values. In addition, we employ 12 psychologists belonging to our personal rights association in order to provide therapies and psycho-social support for children to cope with the traumas they may have experienced in thier previous upbringings. The costs of these studies, transportations, personnel, and personal rights are covered by our association and we do not receive any payment from the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.
All financial resources of these works consist of zakat, fitra and donations from philanthropists, and the association has no commercial activities or profit.
